A few days ago, I started filming a stop motion animation trailer for my story Rock- Revenge:
http://thebatamonblog.wordpress.com/rock-revenge/
Here is the prologue introducing my main villain Scar:
Scar

You may notice a few things. For one, some more villains from the Rock theme are shown in the background:
- Walking across the set near the beginning is Dr. Jet
- Exandit walks round the side of the stage to the right, and talks to someone, then exits.
- The tables to the far left and far right are accompanied. On the left table:
And on the right…
I haven’t edited it yet, and soon, I will lengthen the cape swish so it is slower and more villain-like. I will also lengthen the end of the handshake just a tiny bit; it really helps. And then, I’ll put a black and white freeze frame at the end, in which the word Scar will appear. Please comment, share your opinion and make suggestions!

That was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That must have been a lot of fun to do. I watched it more than once. Can that be done with photographs? You know where to find me.
KK
Thanks, KK!! Yeah. All you need is some LEGO, a camera, a light and a lot of patience! (Which I wouldn’t say I’ve got particularly
). You have to take 15 photographs fore each second of animation, but some poepl do even more frames (pics a second) to make it look as smooth as possible.
Hope to hear from your soon!
Holy Cow – that’s a lot of work! Don’t sell yourself so short – you obviously have patience and the video is proof of that.
So, I have a bunch of successive pictures that I would like to turn into animation. How would I do that?
KK
Well. You’d want to put them into some sort of animation making software, like Sony Vegas or Monkeyjam, and make the pictures run without gaps at 15+ frames a second, depending on how glitchy or smooth you want it to look.
Each picture must have only a very little amount of movement, depending on what the person was doing. If walking, you’d move one leg forwards, then the other. If being flung across the room, you’d probably move him quite a lot each picture.
Hope this was helpful.

That’s perfect. I went away last weekend to an Equine Clinic. There was a kitten there that was in love with my dog (you can see the kitten here http://wp.me/p2zGQ7-oh he’s the one with the blue eyes). I have these great photos of them and they were taken a couple seconds apart. If I go through them fast on the camera it looks like motion and I thought it might be fun to see if I could turn it into a 10+ second video. When I saw your video – I knew you would know how to do it.
Thank you!
KK
You’re very welcome. Hope to see your animation in action
BTW: Just had a look at your photos. Awesome gallery
Thank you and Thank you!

Is what you’ll be doing what you’d call a gif?
If so, here is a much better explanation than I could give. Hope this one will be easier to understand

I don’t really know, that’s why I thought I start with asking you some questions. I will will look into the link you gave me.
Thank you very much!
KK
