Civ: Maps, Mods, Resources and Polls

After finishing my map, I finally got time to try it out! It’s a pretty cool map, but there weren’t as many resources as I thought I’d put on. It looked a little… empty  Maybe I’ll modify it. What do you think?

When studying the resources closely, also, I found that I’d put more Uranium on the map than any other Strategic Resource. Which Strategic Resources Would You Say Are Most Vital?

And one more thing. I started the game many times to check if it wasn’t just a coincidence, and it certainly wasn’t; every time I’ve played on this map, I always start in the same place, and I’d set 10 starting points. Any idea what the problem is? I’d really appreciate your advice! Thank you!

Civ Map Finished!!!!!!

I told you a few days ago that I was making a Civ Map. Well, yesterday evening, I finally finished it! No wonder I’d been taking so long with it though; I’d been doing every single tile individually, when I realized you can paint hexagons of 32 tiles onto the map in one click! … Well, at least I’ll know for next time

Starting Points:

10 Player Starting Points

7 City State Starting Points

Width- Roughly 45 Tiles Wide

Height- Roughly 70 Tiles Tall

Barbarians- 6 Barbarian Camps + 19 Barbarians

Vital Strategic Resources:

14 Uranium Spots (Either 4 or 2 in quantity)

7 Aluminum Spots (Either 4 or 2 in quantity)

6 Iron Spots (Varying quantity- mostly 4-6)

4 Horses Spots (Varying quantity- mostly 6)

Also several coal and many oil (Esp. around the coast)

Terrain- Mostly Grassland. Also Plains and Desert. Very few tiles of snow/tundra.

Today, I’ll be making it into a mod and playing on it

New Custom Civ Map Made Using ‘World Builder’

Civ Map

I am currently making my own custom Civ Map. Over 20 tiles wide and over 20 tall, this is the ultimate map. Rich in resources, and with vital resources in settling range of your starting point, this should be an excellent map to play your first game of civ! This map is a perfectly balanced map, containing desert, plains, jungle, grassland, tundra and snow. Wondrous mountains split the scapes and territories. Contains over 10 Starting Places For Players and over 5 City State Starting Places. A truly brilliant map whether starting in the future or ancient era!

Civ Progress

My favourite victory is certainly domination And that’s what I’m aiming for on my current civ game! As Harun Al Rashid, I have conquered the empires of Bismarck, Sweden, Oda And Suleiman, as well as taking the capitals of Dido Of Carthage and Maria Theresa. All I need to do now to win the domination victory is conquer Moscow, Catherine Of Russia’s capital! It shouldn’t be hard, as I have St. Petersburg through a trade for 17.000 Gold, which in right next to Moscow (And within a Nuclear Missile’s Range certainly)!

A Snippet From My Diary- Anointed

We played scrabble at half seven. While we played it, we had some 1% alcohol cider. I didn’t like it the first sip I took, but by the last, I was enjoying it very much. (Addictive?! Sugar! Alcohol!). Both teams (Me+Dad, Rafe+Mum) did very well, and both got on the triple words. I’m sure we learnt some new words again. Well, came across; I can’t remember even 1 now!

Right near the end, I spotted Rafe trying to put on his poker face (he’s not very good at it lol) – they had a good’n. At the same time, I’d found a word to put down- Damn. (I had the amn). There was two Ds on the board I could have put it down on. I chose one of them completely randomly, and Rafe’s head drooped. I later found out, they were going to use the D to make anointed, which would have been like the best word ever (except from when Dad put down galoped on his first go – putting all his letters down!). Phew! We lost by about 40 points still, but the main thing is, we got a good score! We got over 260. Mum got around 300. If they’d got that Anointed though, they’d probably have got more near to the 400s.

What a game!!

LEGO Mario Kart Game Rules

 

Dice 1 (Standard Dice):

II                                                 = Move round the track 2 spaces.

III + Mummy Face       = Move three spaces and move a/the menace three spaces.

IV                                                = Move round the track 4 spaces.

V                                                   = Move round the track 5 spaces.

VI                                                 = Move round the track 6 spaces.

Black Flat                             = Roll again until you roll a number. For each of these you roll, add 2 spaces to your total score.

 

Dice 2 (Item Dice):

Banana (Yellow : )                           Move a banana from the side or from anywhere on the board to another position on the board.

Mushroom (1x Light : )                 Move forward 1 space.

3x Mushroom (3x Light : )          Move forward 3 spaces.

Bullet Bill (Black : )                          Move forward 7 spaces.

Star (Brown : )                                     Move forward 5 spaces. You may go offroad with stars, and still move the normal amount of spaces rather than the amount being halved (the offroad penalty).

Menace (White: )                               Move a menace 6 spaces, or move two different menaces 3 spaces.

 

Start/Finishing Line = Black Line.

Item Line = White Line.

Speed Boost/Ramp = Black or Red Lights.

 

Goal: The goal to the Mario Kart LEGO Game is to race round the track three times before your opponents. Move menaces to hit opponents and knock them back 3 spaces. Receive items to help you in your adventure around the raceway.

Rolling the Dice: Roll the standard dice every turn, then do as stated in Dice 1 (see above). When you pass an item line roll the Item Dice- and do as stated.

Offroad: Flats count as “Offroad”. When passing through offroad, your roll is halved (then rounded up). This is called the offroad penalty. With Stars you can pass over offroad without the offroad penalty being used.

Courses with No Menaces: If the course has no menaces in it, the 3 + Mummy Face roll counts as “Move three spaces then move any 1 of your opponents back 3 spaces”.

What is a “Space”: A space is one LEGO stud.

Items Rules: When you pass through an item line, finish moving the no. Rolled on the standard dice, and then roll the items dice. You must then use that item straight away, or not at all. Items cannot be kept.

“CPU”: It is possible to have LEGO Mario Kart CPU (computers, no-players). Don’t roll the dice for the CPU- move these characters 4 spaces each turn. When a CPU passes through a finish line, item line or speed boost, move it an extra 2 spaces after you’ve finished moving their 4 spaces.
