Here is a drawing I drew yesterday of the Inca site, Machu Picchu… the lost city of the Inca.
Found out yesterday that I’ve had my poem- The Winged Child, published in Wordsmith, a quarterly creative writing magazine for kids, in the “My Poems” section!! I got a years subscription to the mag online, and this is my second issue.
I am really enjoying the mag, especially the poetry and creative writing sections, but also the photo gallery. I would strongly advise any young writer to subscribe to this mag, which you can do here at Wordsmiths online site.
(You may have noticed that it says here I’m twel ve. I entered this poem just a week before my thirteenth birthday in February )
Viv, administrator of Primal Family Nourishment says here in her about page: “This blog is to document our progress as we transition towards a “primal” way of eating emphasising fresh meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds, and minimal high fat dairy.”
I’ve been reading some Simpsons comics lately, and I was thinking that maybe I’d get a Simpsons DVD with some of my leftover birthday money (£40). I never knew there were over 30 series tho
Now, maybe the obvious thing to do would be to start with 1 and work my way through the series , but from a few reviews I’ve read, the first 5 or so series aren’t all that . I thought that maybe I’d start with Series 11 or 12?!
Which series do you advise I purchase? Which series was best in your opinion?
Here is a werewolf I drew a few days ago. I used a face-on picture of a grey wolf to help me with the face and fur, while basing the chest and armour on an Aztec Jaguar Warrior! This werewolf is another character from the story I am currently writing, and both story and werewolf I have not decided on a name for yet!
I hope you like it!
“Awarding the people who live in the moment,
The noble who write and capture the best in life,
The bold who reminded us what really mattered -
Savoring the experience of quality time.”
I’ve been nominated for the Best Moment Award!! Never received this one before. It’s pretty cool Thanks to Charles E. Yallowitz for nominating me
Winners re-post this starting with their acceptance speech. This could be written or video recorded.
Winners have the privilege of awarding the next 15 people with this award! The re-post should include a NEW set of 15 people/blogs worthy of the award; and winners notify them the great news.
Here is a manga portrait of a character from the story I am currently working on! (Still in planning stages, haven’t got a name for it yet )
Sorry I haven’t been posting much lately! I’m currently working on a Star Wars Civ 5 Mod, so I’ve been working on that a lot recently, and haven’t had time to post on my blog, or have many things to post about!
Let me tell you a bit about this Star Wars Mod I’m creating. Well, It’s gonna be the Imperial Empire (Short Name: Imperium – still not sure about this bit, open to suggestions! ), and will be led by Emperor Palpatine. I’ve spent a lot of time looking up what planets, moons (And Death Stars ) I will use as city names in my mod, and also reading through the Civ Modders Guide. Yesterday, I was reading about flavors- which look pretty awesome. This part is how you get your leader to be unique, and choose whether he be peaceful, or a warmonger. If he will build large armies or navies. If your leader will focus on Science, Gold, Culture. If your leader will expand, or stay small. There are so many possibilities. I can’t wait to set it (Palpatine will likely be most like Genghis Khan, often Hostile, and attempting conquest over minor civs).
Also, I’ve been making a little mini “Endor” map, which I started a game on yesterday, against Genghis Khan, Oda Nobunaga, and Attila of the Huns; two of them declared war after about 15 turns!! (I was sorta testing out what it might be like to play against the Emperor )
Right, I’ve been nominated for the Day Dreamer Award (Sounds like a suitable award for me )
Thanks to Tomas for the nomination! Looks like a cool award! Anyway, here are the rules of this award:
1) Upon receipt of this award, you are to take a mental vacation for five minutes. Gaze off into space, look out of the window, have yourself a wonderful day dream.
2) When you have returned from your day dream, you are required to take another one tomorrow.
3) Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
4) Award this to three (3) people. You can only pass on this award to three (3) people only.
I’m back from my daydream! Lol
Here are my three nominees:
